The Sims 4 is no stranger to bizarre bugs. Over the years, players have seen their Sims break reality, stretch into terrifying shapes, or behave in ways that defy logic. But with the latest update on February 25, the game has introduced a glitch that many are calling one of the most unsettling yet.

The update itself was supposed to be a cause for celebration, reintroducing burglars – a long-requested feature that had been missing for years. However, the joy was short-lived as players quickly noticed something was very, very wrong with their child Sims.

Children With Pregnant Bellies?

After the update went live, reports flooded in from confused and horrified players: child Sims were suddenly sporting fully developed pregnancy bellies. Many took to social media to share screenshots, expressing their discomfort and disbelief.

Since today's patch all the male children in my game have pregnant bellies. by u/ninjaconor86 in thesims

Some noticed that the bug seemed to primarily affect male children, while others observed a variety of body distortions, from exaggerated muscles to oddly proportioned torsos. The result? A wave of panic and frustration from players who weren’t quite ready for this level of unexpected chaos in their saves.

While the sight of pregnant-looking children understandably left many players unsettled, it appears to be nothing more than a visual bug. Some speculate that the game’s body presets may be mixing up child and adult models, leading to these disturbing proportions. Others reported seeing their child Sims with muscle-bound frames or awkward beer bellies, reinforcing the theory that something in the body-shaping mechanics has gone terribly wrong.

Some users have found a quick workaround by heading into Create-a-Sim (CAS) and manually adjusting their Sims’ body types. However, this isn’t a permanent fix, and many are now hesitant to open their game until EA releases an official patch.
