Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark is going to be the sequel to Gal Guardians: Demon Purge, and will take the chance to expand on its world far more than the first game could have.

What's Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark about?

In this game, you will follow the two demon sisters Kirika and Masha on their quest to revive their Demon Lord Maxim.

Both come with unique combat and movement abilities that work best when combined together, hence the mechanic of fluidly switching between the two mid-combat.

But for those that wish to play together with their friends, fret not! Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark will also come with a 2-player co-op mode, where each player can pick one of the sisters.

Travel through the demon world, fight demon hunters, defeat demonic bosses, explore completely new areas, upgrade your weapons, and become strong enough to make your way to the end of the treacherous journey through the underworld.

Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on March 27, 2025, publisher PQube announced.

The 2D action adventure Metroidvania will receive special treatment in Japan, as there will be limited physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch available.

This limited edition will come not only with a copy of the game, but also with an art book, a two-disk soundtrack CD, and an acrylic keychain. So if you're in Japan and looking to buy the game, keep a lookout for this limited edition!
