GTA 6's expected revenue is beyond everything that's holy and nice

GTA 6 is, without a doubt, the most highly anticipated game right now – and that could pay off handsomely, according to industry experts.

Do you remember the day the GTA 6 trailer dropped? First the leak, then Rockstar uploaded it again, and the whole internet broke – but watching the views get to astronomical heights during minutes was a sight to see, for sure. Sadly, we've been waiting on news ever since and the devs have been keeping tight-lipped about the upcoming game. (Have you seen the enhanced trailer, though?)

It doesn't need a rocket scientist to guess that the hype will pay off financially as well, though. Still, this doesn't deter industry experts from estimating the revenue GTA 6 is probably going to get.

GTA 6's revenue is estimated to be $1 billion with pre-orders alone

GTA 5 has set a record in revenue back in the day with $1 billion in only three days, which is absolutely insane in its own right. GTA 6 is estimated to shatter this record nonetheless – even more astounding, with pre-orders alone.

DFC Intelligence estimate this record-breaking $1 billion start, and they don't stop there. According to experts, GTA 6 will get to over $3.2 billion during its first year. This gets even more incredible if you take into account that GTA 6 will not launch for PC straight away and will probably take its sweet time with its port – this kind of revenue even without PC gamers? Astounding.

And realistic as well. Considering the hype around the game, even though we haven't heard much about GTA 6 since the initial trailer, pre-orders will surely go through the roof as soon as it's announced. GTA 5 could start off with 7 million copies pre-ordered, but that was over ten years ago and the gap between GTA 4 and 5 wasn't that long. Of course, the hype was still there, but GTA 6 is a cultural phenomenon all by itself already and will probably set a new precedent.

How about you? Will you be one of the many people pre-ordering the game or are you a "wait and see if the game's even that good" kind of person? Let us know in the comments!
