Kentum is a 2D "craftervania" adventure game, faintly reminiscent of Satisfactory, that focuses primarily on the survival and advancement aspect of gameplay.

What is Kentum about?

Just yesterday, via the Latin American Game Showcase, developer and publisher Tlön Industries announced their upcoming game Kentum with an official gameplay trailer.

You play as Kent, a man who took a strangely long nap and woke up in the year 10,000, all alone and with nothing but a stick and a robot companion.

Your mission is simple: survive. You don't have much to start with, but it's more than enough to keep moving forward. Overtime, you will have to explore, scan, and categorise your surroundings to make good use of them.

Knowledge is your strongest weapon in this world, you just need to be careful not to die trying to outsmart beasts that will just kill and eat you with a few simple moves.

Even if you do die, it's not immediately game over. Back in your base, you have a cloning machine that gives you the chance to start over and over again. Still, death brings major setbacks, so it's best to remain cautious anyway.

The game is set to release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam sometime in 2025. Sadly, we do not have an exact launch date yet.

Are you excited for Kantum? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
