It’s one of the most nostalgic weapons in Fortnite: the Double Pump Shotgun.
Introduced in Season 1, Chapter 5, this shotgun quickly won the hearts of the community thanks to its high damage output and its dominance as an alternative to submachine guns at the time.

The legendary Double Pump strategy involved carrying two Pump Shotguns and switching between them during combat to bypass the cooldown between shots.
This allowed for extremely rapid and devastating attacks, making it a favorite among players. However, Epic Games eventually disabled this mechanic in the early chapters to ensure more balanced gameplay.
Double Pump Returns, but Only in Fortnite OG
The Double Pump makes its comeback on December 6th, as confirmed by an official announcement on Fortnite’s X account.

Still, fans are uncertain if a future update might once again remove this feature from Fortnite OG.
