After month of rumors and alleged leaks, Nintendo’s revealed its new console.
The last weeks have been a bit confusing for Nintendo fans. After more and more rumors and leaks about their next console surfaced, everybody and their mother were sure Shigeru Miyamoto’s company would present the Switch 2 very soon.
But instead of official statements or a trailer, we got random third party posts featuring pictures of the handheld-hybrid, and people didn’t know what to think of this without any statement by Nintendo.
Now, the waiting finally comes to an end with Nintendo giving fans the first proper look at the Switch 2 with an official trailer.

The video is available on the company’s official YouTube channel, with a Direct and more info coming on April 2.
As leaks and rumors have been speculated, the Switch 2 resembles his predecessor a lot, which not really comes to a surprise since we already knew that the console would be backward compatible.
The new Joy-Cons and the way they connect to the console (with magnets clipping into place) have also been leaked and speculated beforehand, while the plastic around the Joysticks seems sturdier – probably to get rid of the Joy-Con's drifting issue.
So far, we didn’t receive any information about the price, release date or games with the exception of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe title shown on the display of the new console.
But since we now finally got the first official pieces of information, we’re sure more and more will surface really soon – because nobody really wants to wait until April...
