Publisher PQube has announced that Death Match Love Comedy!, developed by KEMCO, is set to receive a full remake for all platforms by the end of 2025.

What is Death Match Love Comedy!?

Kei Yagi is a first year in school and is just about to receive not one, but two love confessions from two of his classmates.

All is fine and well, if a bit awkward, but the moment they open their mouths, Kei suddenly just... explodes!

Surprisingly, he does not die. He quickly learns that it was all just an illusion, but that he still has a horrible curse placed on his soul: the next time he receives an actual love confession, he will actually explode and die.

This game manages to get the player hooked by just the absurdity of the story. It's wild ride, that's for sure, with lots of "slapstick comedy, occult experiences, and romance!"

There are multiple endings for all the worst, best, and inbetween cases, and a chart system to help the player navigate through their story route. Perfect for anyone who wants to see all the endings.

What's even more useful is the confession warning light on the top of the screen, making sure that the player knows that now is the time to make the right choices for the desired ending.

For anyone who's played Raging Loop, Death Match Love Comedy! actually takes place in a sister universe! So it's all weirdly connected...

This visual novel style game will be released in the West for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam sometime in 2025.
