Valve's new game, Deadlock, is a cross between Overwatch and DOTA 2, and it's finally been revealed.
Deadlock has finally been officially revealed and is now in Early Access. So what is this game about, and can it replace Overwatch?
What Is Deadlock?
Deadlock is a 6 vs. 6 hero shooter, like Overwatch. Each player chooses a hero, who have their own set of four unique skills to use, and the teams try to dominate the map.But here comes a MOBA twist to the game. The map is built like the one in DOTA 2, which means in different lanes an army of NPC grunts help you to defeat the other team.
Deadlock's Heroes Will Feel Very Familiar...
There will be 20 heroes on launch, and it's abundantly clear that Overwatch has influenced the character design in Deadlock.
There's a female sniper with long hair, a ninja, and other common archetypes like the archer and the swordsman. To be honest, these characters look a bit too familiar for my taste...
