The EWC Week 5 was super exciting, with big competitions in three games: Honor of Kings, Rainbow Six Siege, and Apex Legends.
The EWC Week 5 was truly amazing. The Apex Legends tournament hit new heights with an epic 13-game series, where team Alliance came out on top, becoming EMEA's first LAN world champions and proving all their critics wrong. In EWC Rainbow Six Siege, BDS's LikEfac wowed everyone with an incredible 4K play, showing off his awesome skill and precision. Meanwhile, in Honor of Kings, the KPL Dream Team dominated the Invitational Midseason. They won every game perfectly, proving they are the best team in the game.

EWC 2024: Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason
The Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason brought together 12 top teams, split into two groups for the first stage. The best four teams from each group moved on to an eight-team bracket.
Everyone was watching LGD Gaming MY, the champions from Season 2, trying to win again. However, the KPL Dream Team, made up of the best players from the King Pro League, played amazingly and won the championship.
They defeated LGD Gaming MY with a perfect 2-0 in the finals. However, Yinuo and Hai were named MVPs for their awesome performances. With this win, the KPL Dream Team proved they are the best Honor of Kings team in the world.
EWC 2024: Rainbow Six Siege
In Rainbow Six Siege, 16 top teams from all over the world competed. They were divided into two groups of eight, and the best four teams from each group moved on to the Playoffs. The Playoffs had best-of-three matches, ending in a best-of-five grand final.
Team BDS won after a strong series against w7m esports, winning three maps in a row: Clubhouse (7-2), Consulate (7-3), and Oregon (7-1).
Yuzus was a standout player with a great 80-46 K/D ratio and a rating of 123. LikEfac also had an amazing Play of the Day on the final map.
This victory adds to Team BDS's achievements, coming after their second-place finish at the BLAST R6 Major Manchester. Now, fans can look forward to their performance in the BLAST R6 Major Montreal in November.
EWC 2024: Apex Legends
The Apex Legends part of the Esports World Cup had 40 top teams split into two groups of 20. The teams played ten games each in the group stage to earn points and move on to the Finals. Teams that ranked 10th-19th had a Last Chance round, with only the top two making it to the final 20-team showdown.
The tournament, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, had a $2,000,000 prize pool and Team Alliance won the championship, taking home the $600,000 first-place prize after 13 intense games. The second-place team got $375,000, and the third-place team received $200,000.
Overall, EWC Week 5 was full of exciting action and amazing performances in all three games. From the KPL Dream Team’s flawless win in Honor of Kings to Team BDS’s strategic victory in Rainbow Six Siege, and Team Alliance’s triumph in Apex Legends, the tournament keeps fans on the edge of their seats with its high-level competition.
