TMG Gaming breaks silence on the shocking breakup with BMPS champions Team Aryan.

The Indian esports scene was rocked recently after the surprise announcement of the split between BMPS 2025 champions Team Aryan and their longtime organization, TMG Gaming. After winning the coveted BMPS title and a massive ₹1.25 crore prize—along with a direct slot in PMWC 2025 at EWC 2025—Team Aryan stunned fans by parting ways with TMG Gaming.
Now, TMG Gaming has finally spoken out to clarify their side of the story and set the record straight about the reasons behind this unexpected split.
TMG Gaming and Team Aryan Salary Hike Dispute
In their official statement, TMG Gaming highlighted their dedication to nurturing grassroots esports talent in India. They reminded the community that they had acquired Team Aryan six months before BMPS 2025, a time when the esports calendar was quiet and third-party events were limited.
TMG emphasized that they saw potential in Team Aryan when few others did and offered the team a “standard esports contract in India,” complete with monthly salaries and fulfillment of all reasonable requests. According to TMG, these arrangements were fully documented and transparent.
The crux of the disagreement, according to TMG Gaming, is a staggering salary hike demand made by Team Aryan after qualifying for the LAN finals. While the original contract negotiations included a raise between 30-50%, the players allegedly demanded a jaw-dropping 1500% increase in their salaries.
TMG claims that despite their willingness to negotiate and continue supporting the team, Team Aryan decided to walk away—breaching the contract in the process.
TMG shared that they initially kept quiet to protect the “spirit of Team India,” wanting to maintain unity during an important time for Indian esports. However, with misinformation spreading and silence being misread as weakness, TMG felt compelled to respond publicly. They firmly denied any accusations of exploitation, insisting that their support was “fair, transparent, and built on mutual trust.”
Protecting the Future of Indian Esports
With over five years invested in launching and supporting emerging esports talent, TMG Gaming expressed concern that misleading stories about the breakup are harmful to the very foundation of India’s esports ecosystem.
TMG ended their statement with an emotional plea to prioritize “Team India, not personal agendas.” They stressed the importance of supporting the next generation of players and warned against turning patriotism into personal gain. “Who will rise next if we don’t encourage those who build the future?” they asked.
For now the esports community is watching closely to see what lies ahead for both Team Aryan and TMG Gaming. Team Aryan, fresh off their BMPS 2025 victory, will be embarking on their next chapter independently, while TMG continues to position itself as a champion for grassroots talent in India’s rapidly growing esports industry.
