The Esports Club (TEC), in collaboration with League of Legends (LoL), has unveiled a comprehensive roadmap to elevate the game’s competitive scene in India and South Asia. This initiative focuses on growing the regional gaming community, catering to both amateur and professional players through a mix of community tournaments, influencer-driven events, and exclusive invitational competitions.
The roadmap includes:
- TEC Community Cup – July & August Opens (Completed)
- TEC Streamer Clash Invitational (Completed in September)
- Influencer Driven Community Clash (Ongoing: September - December)
- TEC Community Clash – December (Upcoming)
To add competitive depth, TEC has introduced the Rift Rulers Leaderboard, which tracks the performance of top South Asian teams. The top 4 teams will secure invitations to the main event in December, providing grassroots players with a chance to shine on a bigger stage.
Crucial and Zotac: Strengthening the Experience
The roadmap's success is supported by strategic partnerships, with Crucial by Micron joining as the Presented by Sponsor and Zotac Gaming as the Powered by Sponsor. These companies aim to enhance the quality of gameplay and streaming experience for all participants, ensuring the highest standards in technology and performance during each event.
Vamsi Krishna, Managing Director of Basik Marketing, highlighted the importance of this collaboration with Riot Games, emphasizing how it goes beyond tournaments to foster a thriving esports community based on competition and camaraderie.
Strong Community Engagement
Since the start of the roadmap, over 500 teams have participated, and the initiative has attracted more than 500K views. Key influencers like ShreeMan LegenD, MidFailYT, and iFlicks are leading community engagement, creating buzz as TEC continues to build toward the final event in December.
As the Indian gaming market is projected to generate $1.4 billion by 2028, TEC’s roadmap is a significant step toward capitalizing on the region’s massive potential. By nurturing talent and fostering an active community, League of Legends is poised to gain further traction in South Asia.
