Krafton India has announced the Esports Campus Tour 2024, bringing an exciting gaming competition to 64 colleges across India. This tour, which started in August 2023, is set to run until March 2025, with a whopping prize pool of ₹2 crores. It’s not just about the fun and games, though—it’s also a way for students to explore the growing Esports industry and discover career opportunities in gaming.

The Esports Campus Tour covers a wide range of cities, including Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3, meaning students from all parts of India can participate. Each college hosting the event will get ₹2 lakhs from the prize pool. So far, the tour has already held competitions at 14 prestigious colleges, including IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, and K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering.

Games in Esports Campus Tour 2024

The tournament will feature several popular games, including Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Real Cricket, Road to Valor: Empires, and Bullet Echo India. This variety gives gamers from different backgrounds a chance to show off their skills and compete for the big prize.

Karan Pathak, the Associate Director of Esports at Krafton India, expressed his excitement about the tour, saying it’s not just about competition but also about creating opportunities for young gamers. By connecting these tournaments with college cultural festivals, Krafton aims to build a strong Esports culture in India. It’s a great way for talented players to shine on a bigger stage.

Krafton is Doing a lot for India’s Esports

Krafton India has been a major player in India’s Esports scene for a while now, with popular tournaments like the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) and the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS). In fact, the 2024 BMPS tournament set new records with over 4.7 lakh peak viewers. Esports is becoming more popular across the country, with more than 6 lakh active players and a rapidly growing audience.
