On October 16, 2025, the Wuthering Waves 2.8 drip marketing campaign continued with the official announcement of Buling, a mysterious Taoist and exorcist who first appeared during the Septimont arc. Known as the "Spiritchaser Taoist", Buling played a key role in helping the Rover uncover the truth behind the city-state and defeat the Fractsidus threat.
