HoYoverse has finally revealed that Zenless Zone Zero is getting a cool new character named Tsukishiro Yanagi in the next big update, version 1.3. Yanagi is part of this super tough team called Section 6, which is known for handling dangerous missions in the game. This update is not just about adding her to the game but might also give us more info about her team’s role in the main story.

New Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 Character - Yanagi
Yanagi is the Deputy Chief of Section 6, working under H.A.N.D., and she’s all about keeping things strict and organized. She’s an Electric-type character, which means she uses electric powers, "Anomaly Buildup" to mess up enemies big time. Even though her exact rank isn’t set yet, everyone’s thinking she’ll be the first top-tier, or S-tier, banner character in version 1.3. She’ll be joining another Section 6 character, Soukaku.
Yanagi is pretty serious and likes to stick to the rules. She even floods her boss’s desk with tons of reports and acts like the mom of her team, keeping everyone in line. She’s already been seen in the game’s story, fighting hard to protect people and take down these scary things called Ethereals. With her polearm weapon, she’s going to be different from other Electric characters like Grace Howard, who usually fights from far away. Now, players can’t wait to see how she’s going to change the game, especially if she’s ranked super high.

In addition, Section 6 has mostly been in the background of the story so far, but now that Yanagi’s joining as a playable character, fans are hoping we’ll see more of her team and their cool abilities. It might mean we’ll get to know more about other agents in Section 6 too.
ZZZ Yanagi's Release Date
HoYoverse hasn’t officially said when Yanagi and the 1.3 update are dropping, but it’s likely to be around November 4, 2024. So, players have to wait a little bit before they can try her out. We should get more info about her banner and what she can do in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, version 1.2 is still going strong with its own events and new characters like Caesar and Burnice, so there’s plenty to keep everyone busy until Yanagi arrives.
