Deadpool & Wolverine is now in theaters, and fans have been speculating about the future of the MCU. There's clearly only one answer to the MCU's struggles.
Deadpool & Wolverine was one of the most anticipated MCU movies in the last few years. And it came at a much-needed time; the MCU has been in a rough spot after Endgame, with many fans saying the MCU is "dead".
At least one reason for this bleak outlook at the MCU is obvious. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are both gone for good, and the movies are not the same without them. But with Deadpool & Wolverine's release, there's reason to be hopeful that they actually might return...
Wolverine's Return Could Suggest The Same For Stark & Rogers
Hugh Jackman stated, in 2020, that Logan would've been his last take on the character. Now here we are in 2024 and Hugh Jackman is playing the fan-favorite again in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Deadpool & Wolverine has rewritten the MCU's status quo, which makes for a perfect starting point to bring back beloved characters. This is how the franchise could evolve and survive into the future.
I feel like if Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. returned to their roles in the MCU, it would be a well needed saving grace for an otherwise doomed franchise.
What do you think? Would you like to see Iron Man and Captain America return someday?
