The Skyesports THE FINALS League just wrapped up, and Bengaluru Starbusters, led by content creator Red Parasite, came out on top. They beat Tanmay "ScoutOP" Singh’s team, Ahmedabad Meteors, to win the tournament and take home the largest share of the $10,000 prize pool.
Skyesports THE FINALS Tournament Overview
Skyesports THE FINALS League is a new esports event in India, designed similarly to the IPL. The event had 10 teams from different cities across the country, made up of influencers and pro players. This mix made the tournament exciting for both the players and fans.
It started with a player auction where the city-based team owners and captains selected their squads. The action took place between September 14 and 25, with teams battling it out in a double round-robin group stage. The top eight teams moved on to the playoffs in October. In the final stage of the THE FINALS tournament, the four best teams—Bengaluru Starbusters, Ahmedabad Meteors, Punjab Asteroids, and Rajasthan Galactics—fought for the top spot.
Red Parasite’s Team - Bengaluru Starbusters are the Winner
Led by Red Parasite, Bengaluru Starbusters faced some tough matches in the playoffs. Their final opponent, Ahmedabad Meteors, was captained by the popular esports player Scout (Tanmay "ScoutOP" Singh). The two teams faced off in an exciting final match, where Bengaluru Starbusters managed to come out on top and claim the championship title.
After the win, Red Parasite shared that the team had an amazing time throughout the tournament. "We had a great time in THE FINALS League. Even if we lost, it wouldn’t have mattered because we made amazing friends and created a great vibe together," Red Parasite said after the victory.
Well, this was the very first edition of the Skyesports THE FINALS League, and it’s already gaining attention due to its fresh format and exciting competition. It brought together influencers, pro players, and FPS fans, making it a fun and engaging event.
And although Scout’s Ahmedabad Meteors finished in second place, they put up a strong fight throughout the tournament. Teams like Punjab Asteroids and Rajasthan Galactics also gave solid performances, showing that the competition was fierce. And then with Bengaluru Starbusters taking the top spot, it was icing on the cake.
