Co-op game Murky divers combines horror, comedy and chaos – in a submarine

Murky Divers just released and it looks just as chaotic and fun as you would hope.

Murky Divers had its version 1.0 launch just this week and it looks incredibly fun already. After having been stuck in Early Access for about half a year, we can now experience the game fully.

What is Murky Divers about?

In Murky Divers, you and your team are sent into the depths of the sea to clean up and dispose of any evidence left behind by illegal laboratories and factories. It's a lot of dead bodies down there, that means a lot of work for you!

You navigate around in a submarine, having to cooperate with each other and manage different tasks when piloting it. It's pretty complex, but equally fun, to have to yell at your pilot to make a left turn for the fifth time while he keeps turning right.

Once you've positioned the submarine, it's up to you as individuals to swim into the underwater ruins and complete the job.

But be careful! These labs are filled with hazardous objects and, worst of all, there are deadly monsters lurking everywhere, ready to kill you in one fell swoop.

And, to add onto the stress and fear this game puts on you, you only have a limited supply of oxygen once you leave the submarine. Every item you bring with you will affect your work, and every decision you make will have its consequences...

Or you can just goof around with your friends, wear silly hats, and provoke the monsters so that they hunt down one of your teammates.

With the 1.0 release, the developers at Embers added a bunch of new things to the game. New difficulty settings for custom servers, new creatures, a new "lab" biome, and much more! I won't share any details, you should go and experience it yourself.

The game is currently on sale on Steam for $5,99 USD until January 2, so you still have plenty of time to go grab it!

Will you convince your friends to play this game with you? How do you feel about its mechanics and atmosphere? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
