The decision has been made: you won’t be able to play the new Dino game on PC, and apparently, you can thank modders for this.
Well, well, well, where would we be without mods? Exactly, in front of a console. Mods are an integral part of PC gaming culture, from fixing small mistakes to creating whole new games. Just think about how many games have been created based on Half-Life, such as Team Fortress, Garry’s Mod, and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. And who could forget the reason we have a C2 level of swearing in Russian – Counter-Strike?
But sometimes, creating a game and then handing it to modders who can basically change it into anything, is a terrifying thought. Too terrifying for the game developers at TeamKill Media, who have named naughty modders as their number one reason for not releasing their upcoming game on PC.
Stop, don't touch me there, this is my no-no code
In a recent statement on Twitter, TeamKill expressed their deep respect for their voice cast and their artistic vision for the game and its story. They emphasized that the risk of damaging that vision with inappropriate mods is simply not worth any potential financial gain.
For those asking us about a PC version of Code Violet... the reason we are not bringing it to PC is we do not want anyone modding vulgar versions of the main character as well as other characters in the game.We hold our voice actresses and actors with high regard, as well as our...

Following up, the team clarified that their decision isn't about being "against" PC gamers, the platform itself, or well-intentioned modders. Instead, they firmly stand against pornographic mods, asserting that such content "has no place" in their games. That´s why Code Violet, a spiritual successor to Dino Crisis, will be a PS5-exclusive title
Rule 43
Don’t act like you don’t know it! The concerns of the TeamKill team are by no means unfounded. It seems like every game gets a naughty mod, and even games that already have sexual content end up with mods pushing things even further. While the reason behind the PC release decision might be noble, one cannot help but question why this choice was made for this game in particular.
After seeing the trailer, people were unanimous: the game looked so awful that TeamKill wanted to avoid it being fixed through mods. That argument isn't entirely off the mark, as there are moments in the game's trailer that make it look like another Half-Life-based game, but without any graphic enhancement mods. Furthermore, this could end up as a classic Streisand effect, where the game wouldn't have even drawn the attention of modders but now will, because of their post on X.
What do you think about the PS5 exclusive decision? Will you play the game? Tell us in the comments!
