It might take a while, but you will be able to play FF XIV on your mobile device.
One of the biggest hits of the Final Fantasy franchise FF XIV will get a mobile version with first playtests starting soon.
LightSpeed Studios announced in cooperation with Square Enix Final Fantasy XIV for iOS and Android. Multiple playtests will come to China supervised by FF XIV producer Naoki Yoshida, followed by a global launch.
Commenting the announcement, Yoshida said:
It has been 11 years since Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn launched, and this new mobile game will be a sister to Final Fantasy XIV, aiming to recreate the grandeur of the original’s story and combat mechanics on mobile devices. Non-combat features, such as Disciples of the Land and Hand, will also be faithfully implemented and we look forward to growing alongside the passionate Final Fantasy XIV community.
The success of FF XIV still goes on
Final Fantasy XIV can look back on a rich history of success and awards and continues to endure popularity as well as a growing fanbase and the mobile version will definitely be able to gather its fair share of players.
In FF XIV Mobile, you’re tasked by the Mothercrystal with carrying the light of hope to the world of Hydaelyn. You will have to test your combat skill with controls that are optimized for mobile devices, while you experience dynamic and intense fights.
A gigantic world of options and possibilities
You can choose from a gigantic roster of playable races, each with its own origin and appearance as well as nine different jobs – that might expand after the game’s launch. The game allows you to switch jobs on the fly to create endless possibilities to your adventure, while you’re fishing, play your Triple Triad cards or take part in Chocobo Racing.
You can celebrate a variety of seasonal events, customize your home and your outfit with – in the beginning – 11 classes of crafting and gathering as an adept miner, alchemist or many more.
Enjoy the game and a whole community
The game wants to create a welcoming community, while you can experience the game in your own way. You’re able to fully enjoy FF XIV Mobile by your own or alongside other players. You can team up as beginners and mentors, party members or even meet completely new people to befriend.
