Snowman Story brings the spirit of the holidays and an important message about friendship to the Nintendo Switch.
After the game already launched for iOs and Android in 2019, followed by a PC release in 2023, Odencat now announced the port of its Christmas themed adventure game Snowman Story to the Nintendo Switch on December 12.
A snowman named Chris
When a lonely boy needed a playmate, his snowman Chris came to life. Even though Chris was happy with his existence, it all changes when a crow tells him the fact that he will melt one day. The snowman decides to embark on a journey to the north, where he could survive the warm months of the year.
Along the trip he befriends various woodland critters to help him solve the puzzles that Chris encounters on his way.
He also comes across other snowmen that wanted to follow the same path but failed. Chris can read the memories that are still inside their melted remains to learn from their mistakes.
It’s a heartwarming story about friendship and a perfect game to play during the holiday season – and since all Puzzles are completely skippable, it’s also perfect for younger players or even people that just want to enjoy the story of Chris.
Coming to the Switch
The Switch version of Snowman Story comes with a few updates and changes.
- Controller support: The game works in handheld mode but as well with the touchscreen of the Switch
- Landscape Mode: The surroundings are now larger and more detailed.
- Voice Effects: Each character brings their own unique voice to the story, to improve the immersive narrative.
- New English Translation: The game’s English text is fully renewed and improved to be as loyal to the original script as possible, making for a more entertaining, heartwarming experience.
