HideWorks just announced their new horror game and it's inspired by some of the biggest titles in the scene.

Fans of Silent Hill and Resident Evil can look forward to this upcoming title.
A Psychological Survival Horror Experience
HideWorks just announced their newest game, a third-person survival indie horror game called Liminal Point, which takes inspiration from some of the biggest names in the horror scene. The game has influences from Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Signalis.
Unfortunately, anyone excited by this news has to be strong right now: The game is set to release in 2026, so the announcement does come with some waiting time. Still, we've collected everything that's known about it so far:
First of all, the game combines survival horror and psychological horror and has an original soundtrack. It is played from an isometric perspective, meaning you play in the third person in a three-dimensional environment, with an angled viewpoint that allows you to see more than you would from a strictly top-down or side perspective. The game will be released for PC but will also support Xbox controllers.
You play as Lyra, a former rock star who receives a mysterious voicemail that leads her to return to Ashen Point island, where her bandmate Mira disappeared. She finds the island covered in fog and monstrous creatures (sound familiar?) and the further she gets, the more she questions her perception of reality.

A Rising Studio In The Horror Scene
This is only HideWorks' second game. Their first game, The Devil is in the Details, is also a mix of various genres: Anomaly detection, escape room and survival horror. Unlike Liminal Point, this game is played from a first-person perspective. Your task is to defeat the devil who has trapped you in a mansion and keeps throwing new hellish demons at you. The game has randomized mechanics that make every playthrough different from the last. It was released in September 2024.
As such, HideWorks is still a pretty new studio in the horror scene. Still, these two titles have already proven that they are able to cover a wide range of both horror and gaming subgenres. Horror fans can certainly be excited to see what else they have in store!
