It's been almost a full year since the first GTA 6 trailer a dropped, and a second might be just around the corner. Speculation is certainly growing among fans, fueled by Rockstar's past release patterns and Take-Two's upcoming investor call.
Fans of Grand Theft Auto have been eagerly awaiting new information since the first teaser dropped in December last year. As the one-year anniversary of that trailer approaches, keen observers have noticed a pattern in Rockstar's announcement schedule that could point to another major reveal next month.
A second GTA 6 trailer might follow the recent RDR announcement
In October 2023, Rockstar made waves when it announced that Red Dead Redemption would be coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Then, just a month later, the long-awaited first trailer for GTA 6 was officially released. This series of events has led fans to draw comparisons with a similar series of announcements this year.In early October, Rockstar once again put Red Dead Redemption in the spotlight, this time by revealing that the game would be coming to PC. Many are now wondering if history could repeat itself, with a second GTA 6 trailer possibly dropping in November.
Take-Two's earnings call might also be key
Adding fuel to the fire, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, is scheduled to hold a quarterly earnings call on the November 6. Interestingly, last year's GTA 6 trailer announcement came just before a similar call, suggesting that major news could follow the same timeline this year.Major updates are often revealed around the time of these earnings calls, and sometimes we even get new details from the calls themselves. In Take-Two's May 2024 investor meeting, for instance, the company narrowed the release window for GTA 6 to autumn 2025.
As always, it's wise to manage expectations until there's a firm confirmation, but with November fast approaching, we may not have long to wait for the next big GTA 6 reveal.
