All of a sudden, the Nintendo Switch 2 doesn't seem to be a secret anymore, since it is just randomly appearing everywhere openly. But the odd thing? Nintendo hasn't said a WORD.
What is happening over at Nintendo? Have they overslept their own console reveal? Is it even happening? Or are we all just being played?
Nintendo Switch 2 revealed everywhere
Months of radio silence about the supposedly ‘imminent’ Nintendo Switch 2, followed by some laughably blurry prototype pics, and now – bam! Out of nowhere, crystal-clear photos, posts, and even ads from actual companies are popping up, showing off the Switch 2 like it was officially revealed yesterday. It wasn’t. Nintendo hasn’t said a peep about the new handheld and is staying suspiciously quiet, even as the leaks go wild. Classic Nintendo.
Today, the known brand for gaming accessories, Genki, revealed a new ad campaign for Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, showcasing them in a video, with the console visible. In the corner of the website, there is a small pop-up bubble saying "Pssst... Can you keep a secret? We can't...". This suggests that this is in fact not an accidental leak, but a planned marketing strategy.
But Genki isn’t the only one spilling the beans on the Switch 2. Just as the internet recovered from accessory leaks, fresh images of what appear to be the next-gen console’s Joy-Con have surfaced online. First appearing on a Chinese social media platform, these shots quickly found their way to the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit, where they’re now under intense scrutiny.

The leaks showcase a left Joy-Con that’s sporting some intriguing upgrades: larger SL and SR buttons, which seem fitting given that the Switch 2 is rumored to be bigger than its predecessor. The railed lock method from the original Joy-Cons appears to have been replaced by electromagnetic suction tech – yes, really.
Even more interesting, the Joy-Con features what looks like soft rubber glide pads on the sides and some kind of mysterious sensor. Internet sleuths are speculating wildly, with theories ranging from advanced 3D gesture controls to the Joy-Con doubling as a mouse when laid flat.
