A small mistake by Microsoft and Xbox has players thinking that something big could be revealed for Call of Duty fans soon.
Fans spotted something curious the other day, which has them believing that a slight mistake might have leaked a big reveal regarding Call of Duty. In June 2024, Xbox is going to host its Summer Showcase and one of the potential biggest reveals has been leaked.
After Microsoft acquired Activision-Blizzard, there was much talk about CoD making its way to Game Pass in the future. Now, it seems like that this is going to become a reality.
Call of Duty On Game Pas: Fans Believe It's Coming Soon
Recently, a Redditor revealed that they spotted something after checking out their Xbox Cloud Gaming library. On the list, they also saw the image of Call of Duty Black Ops III. While the original poster did explain that clicking on the game yielded no result, it does have fans believe that CoD is coming to Game Pass soon.
I noticed [Black Ops III] on my phone but when I clicked on it, it just sorta freezes for a sec before going back to the top so I don’t think it’s supposed to be there. I don’t own the game and it’s not on game pass so I was surprised to see it there.
The game is not on Game Pass yet, but many players have speculated that the series is going to be added to Game Pass eventually, thanks to the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard. Fans have even already speculated when the games are likely going to be made available on Game Pass.

One fan on Reddit wrote that a good idea would be to add 1 CoD a month, giving each game their time to shine. Others want all games of the franchise to be released at once so they can get to playing their favorite games as quickly as possible.
Of course, this is all just speculation currently, but this bug with Black Ops III showing up in the Game Pass app has fans hoping for a big announcement this Summer, when the Xbox Games Showcase is set to reveal a new Call of Duty and much more.
