Wuthering Waves version 1.2 isn't coming out just yet, but recent leaks have given us a sneak peek into what to expect. The current version, WuWa 1.1 update, was a hit with the introduction of Mt. Firmament and two new characters, Jinhsi and Changli.
For version 1.2, we’re hearing about exciting updates like new Character Convene Events and improvements such as a new Waveplate (stamina) storage system. Wuthering Waves 1.2 Characters
Previously, Kuro Games confirmed that two new 5-star characters, Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao, will be available in Wuthering Waves version 1.2. But recent leaks from @PalitoGodd on X have revealed more details about the upcoming update.
According to the leaks, here's the expected order for character banners and featured 4-star Resonators in version 1.2:
- Phase 1: Xiangli Yao (5-star Electro), Aalto (4-star Aero), Danjin (4-star Havoc), Yuanwu (4-star Electro)
- Phase 2: Zhezhi (5-star Glacio), Baizhi (4-star Glacio), Chixia (4-star Fusion), Sanhua (4-star Glacio)
If we talk about the confirmed characters, they are Xiangli and Zhezhi.
Xiangli Yao
Xiangli Yao should be a free character and is the chief investigator at Huaxu Academy in Jinzhou. A young and brilliant mind in Automata Mechanics, Xiangli Yao will be featured in Phase 2 of version 1.2. Also, according to Uncle Birdie, Xiangli Yao might be given out for free to all players. @hxg_diluc on X backs up this info, so it seems pretty reliable.
Zhezhi
On the other hand, Zhezhi is a shy and quiet painter. He is well-loved for her dedication and passion for her art. According to beta leaks shared by @PalitoGodd on X, Zhezhi will be getting a new Companion Quest and her banner will be available in Phase 1 of version 1.2.
Xiangli Yao is expected to make their debut in the first phase, while Zhezhi will join in the second phase of Wuthering Waves 1.2 banner.
Wuthering Waves 1.2 Feature: Waveplate Storage System
One of the most requested updates for Waveplate Energy is finally coming, and it should make farming much simpler.
Since Wuthering Waves was released, players have been frustrated by the high cost of farming due to the Waveplate energy limits. But there’s good news. Leakers have revealed that in Version 1.2, Kuro Games might introduce a new feature called the Crystalline Element. This new feature will let you store extra Waveplate energy once you hit the daily cap.
Normally, you can collect up to 240 Waveplates per day, but with the Crystalline Element, you can keep going beyond that limit. It will store energy at a rate of 1 every 12 minutes, which means you can accumulate up to 120 additional Waveplates in 24 hours.
Wuthering Waves 1.2 Release Date
Though we don't have a confirmed date, the Wuthering Waves 1.2 update is expected to be available around August 15, 2024.
