The main event of the BGIS 2024 Battleground Mobile India Series is about to start. A large number of underdog teams, as well as experienced ones, will compete against each other for the huge prize pool of 2 crores.
The Grind Event, which recently featured 255 teams, has ended with the top 64 teams advancing to the later rounds. In total there 1024 teams is competing for a spot in Round 2. Additionally, 32 teams based on the overall standings among the remaining teams will also qualify. In total there, 512 teams will qualify for the next round.
Krafton distributed 1024 teams into 64 groups for round 1. Each group have 16 teams & 3 matches, Best 7 performing teams will qualify for Round 2 which is scheduled on May 9 to 12.
BGIS 2024 Round 1 Point System
The point system for round 1 remains the same as In-game qualifiers. A team receives 10 points for a WWCD, 6 points for second place, and each finish counts as 1 point.

Round 1 Format of BGIS 2024
The top 64 teams of the Grind Tournament are seeded into three separate rounds, 1st to 16th-placed teams from the points table are seeded into Round 4, while the 17th to 32nd teams are seeded into their pots and into Round 3. While the remaining 32 teams 33rd to 64th will play in Round 2.
all the qualified teams of the Indian Qualifiers will perform in the Round 1 and then advance to the next stage where they will face more experienced and bigger teams like Soul, GodL, Global Esports.
