Beast and Arclyn have officially parted ways from the K9 Esports BGMI squad, signaling a major roster shake-up ahead of the 2026 season.
K9 Esports, one of the prominent names in Indian BGMI competition, has bid farewell to two key players, Harshit “Beast” Yadav and Akshit “Arclyn” Kumar. The club made the announcement on November 9, 2025, sharing a heartfelt video tribute for the duo who played together at K9 for nearly a year.
Why Did Beast and Arclyn Leave K9 Esports?
The move comes after a series of mixed results for the K9 team. While the squad started 2025 with strong performances, claiming victory in the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) and finishing runners-up in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6, recent tournaments were more challenging. K9 placed eighth in the Battlegrounds Mobile India International Cup (BMIC) 2025 and failed to qualify for the coveted PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025.
Earlier in 2024, K9 had brought together a talented lineup from Global Esports, including Omega, Slug, Beast, NinjaBoi, and Arclyn. Beast was no stranger to success, having played for 8Bit and helped Global Esports win the Skyesports Mobile Open 2024, as well as finishing runner-up in BGIS 2024.
The Journey of Beast and Arclyn
During their time with K9, Beast and Arclyn made notable contributions. The team finished third in the IQOO Battlegrounds Series and clinched the BGMS 2025 trophy, marking K9’s first major BGMI title. Consistency remained their strong suit for much of the year, as seen with a second-place finish in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) 2025.
However, as 2025 drew to a close, K9 Esports faced tougher competition and fluctuating results. The squad landed 10th in the BGIS 2025 and could only manage eighth at BMIC 2025, missing out on international qualification spots.
Now, with Beast and Arclyn leaving, K9 will rely on the remaining core: Omega (also the IGL), Slug, and NinjaBoi. The organization aims to rebuild and chase fresh success in the 2026 season. Krafton has already unveiled the BGMI Esports 2026 roadmap, promising new opportunities for teams and players.
