In a major roster update, Team 8Bit has officially announced its new Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) squad following an underwhelming performance in recent tournaments.

The announcement comes after 8Bit’s disappointing showing in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) 2025, where the team failed to meet expectations and missed qualification for the BMIC and PMGC 2025. Their fresh lineup will aim to turn the tide as they prepare for the upcoming Chennai Global Championship 2025, scheduled for November with a ₹50 lakh prize pool.

Team 8Bit’s New BGMI Roster

Here’s the new lineup that will represent Team 8Bit in upcoming events:

  • Raiden (Divyansh)
  • Sarang (Sarangajyoti Deka)
  • Juicy (Vishwas Battoo)Captain
  • Skipz (Amaan Shaikh)

Both Raiden and Juicy are returning to the organisation after previous stints, while Sarang and Skipz join as impactful additions with rich BGMI experience.

Raiden

Raiden has steadily built his reputation since entering the BGMI pro scene in 2023. He notably won the Skyesports Championship 2024 under WSB and later joined Team Versatile, helping them clinch victory at the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2025 earlier this year. His aggressive fragging style and steady in-game discipline made him a top pick for 8Bit’s revival project.

Sarang

A veteran known for his composure under pressure, Sarang joins 8Bit after representing Revenant XSpark earlier this year. His most decorated run came in 2024, when he won both the BGIS and BMPS titles while playing for Team XSpark, earning the FMVP award for his tournament-long dominance. Though his form dipped slightly in 2025, 8Bit’s trust in his leadership and big-match experience could be a game-changer.

Juicy

One of 8Bit’s longest-serving players, Juicy returns to lead the roster as team captain. Having been part of the organisation for over three years, his deep understanding of 8Bit’s structure and community makes him a stabilising presence. Despite not having a major trophy to his name, Juicy’s experience, shot-calling skills, and synergy with returning players will be vital for the team's cohesion.

Skipz

Completing the lineup is Skipz, a promising player known for his versatile gameplay. He previously teamed up with Juicy in Cincinnati Kids, leading the squad to multiple respectable finishes, including 7th in BGIS 2025, 10th in the iQOO Battlegrounds Series, and 14th in BMSD 2025. His adaptability makes him a key part of 8Bit’s evolving strategies.

Team 8Bit's Background and Future

Earlier this year, Team 8Bit had signed Team Versatile’s former lineup, a promising acquisition that was expected to elevate their standing. However, despite flashes of potential, the squad couldn’t find consistency in major events. They finished 5th in the BMPS and 6th in the iQOO Battlegrounds Series 2025, before dropping to 19th in BGMS and 10th at BMSD 2025.

The results prompted management to take a fresh direction.

Now, the newly formed squad’s first major test will be the Chennai Global Championship 2025, a high-profile LAN event featuring some of India’s best BGMI teams and a ₹50 lakh prize pool. The event will serve as the perfect opportunity for Team 8Bit to redeem itself and reassert its place among BGMI’s top organisations.

Well, if this new roster clicks, Team 8Bit could soon be back among India’s finest BGMI squads, ready to chase trophies, rivalries, and redemption on the big stage.
