The WAVES Esports Championship (WESC) 2025 is kicking off with Phase 1 registration for eFootball Mobile, and players are buzzing with excitement. Why? Well, this isn’t just any tournament—it's India’s chance to shine on the global esports stage. The Esports Federation of India (ESFI) has opened registration, and the winner will get to represent India in Bangkok at the Asian Esports Games.

Imagine how cool it would be to play for your country and here is all that we know.

WAVES Esports Championship 2025 Phase 1 Registration

For all the gamers looking to compete, registration is easy! All you need to do is visit ESFI’s Discord server or their social media and find the Google Form link. Once you’re there, just fill in some basic info: your email, name, Discord username, Konami ID, and even your age proof (like an Aadhar Card). After agreeing to the terms and hitting submit, you’ll get a confirmation email, so keep an eye out.

One important reminder ESFI has for players is about passports. The tournament winner needs a passport to travel to Bangkok, and without one, your spot could go to another player.

WESC 2025 isn’t just about eFootball; it’s also a huge moment for Indian esports in general. It’s the first big tournament backed by the government and organized by ESFI.

The grand finale will be held in Delhi from February 5 to 9, where top players from each phase will compete in a final LAN event—a live, in-person gaming event. This LAN final will have some intense matches, especially with other popular games like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and World Cricket Championship 3 joining in the action.

WESC 2025 is more than just a tournament—it’s a chance for players to showcase their skills and make a name for themselves. For individual players, eFootball and World Cricket Championship 3 are the games to watch. But for team-based competition, BGMI will bring the heat. The competition will take place in different stages, so there will be multiple chances to prove who’s the best.

Well, esports is growing super fast in India, and there’s more support than ever before. Besides ESFI, other groups like the Skillhub Online Games Federation (SOGF) are teaming up with big names like the Global Esports Federation and the International Esports Federation (IESF). These partnerships mean that Indian players now have better chances to compete internationally, and soon India will even host its own global esports events.

Lokesh Suji, the ESFI director, is also a committee member of IESF, which means he’s helping shape the future of esports not just in India but on an international level. This is all part of a bigger push to give Indian gamers more opportunities and a better place in the global esports scene.
