Ornn is a unique and fun top lane tank who is able to upgrade his allies' items. But Riot might be making some changes to the Ornn items.
Ornn is a very unique and cool champion. He is a tank, but many also play him as a damage dealer, because when the right person operates this big guy, huge damage numbers can also be seen. But there is one thing that lets Ornn stand out, and that's his passive.
Thanks to Ornn's passive, he's able to forge new and improved items out of old ones. These Masterwork items are pretty cool, and it seems like players want more of them. However, Riot can't give the player base want they want.
League of Legends: Players Want More Ornn Items But Riot Can't Make More
Ornn items are pretty fun and also give a huge boost to players with upgraded stats to existing items. The catch? Not every item can be upgraded by Ornn. Before LoL Season 14, mythic items were the only ones that could be turned into Ornn items, but with the removal of mythic items, Riot had to find a new way to distribute them.
So now, items have to sit in a specific slot in your inventory if you want Ornn to upgrade it. Also, not every complete item has an Ornn counterpart, which some players wish was the case.

On Twitter/X, Matt "Riot Phroxzon" Leung-Harrison explained in the LoL Patch 14.6 preview that creating Ornn items is more difficult than some players might think.
Making Ornn items is technically a lot more difficult than it seems, to the point that it's unsustainable to keep making them in the manner that we have been & we need a new system for making these.
So, it seems like Riot is going to look into how the Ornn item system works in the future. But they also don't want to make Ornn feel weak while they look for solutions to the Ornn item problem.
Phroxzon also stated that they will be sharing news on Ornn and Ornn items as soon as they have some news on what and how they will adjust Ornn items in the future.
