Can humans and robots truly coexist? Atomic Heart asks this very question as a once-utopian world comes apart at the seams. The new Under the Sea DLC takes you deep into uncharted waters to face the most dangerous enemies technology has ever created.
In Atomic Heart, you experience a seemingly utopian world where humans and loyal machines live together in peace.
But this peace doesn't last long: a new robot control system turns the once-loyal machines into your bitter enemies.
Face off against aggressive robots, mutated creatures and beings that have gained unprecedented powers through secret experiments.
With Under the Sea, the third DLC for the action shooter from Mundfish, due out in 2023, you will enter a completely new game setting.
Atomic Heart - What Is It about?
In an alternate history of the 1950s, the Soviet Union has pushed the boundaries of technology: robots and cybernetic machines are commonplace.
Humans and machines live together in peace, helping each other and driving progress. But a catastrophic incident at Research Facility 3826 threatens to tear this harmonious world apart.
Machines, once created for progress, suddenly turn against humans. At the same time, evidence emerges of secret biological experiments that have created monstrous mutants.
The chaos seems to be linked to a new technology called the Collective, a neural network that links man and machine.
In the midst of this dystopian future, you take on the role of Major Sergei Nachaev, better known as P-3.
As an elite soldier with special abilities, you are sent by the government to investigate the changed situation at the facility after robots have gone out of control, killing workers and scientists.
What To Expect From The Under The Sea DLC
The DLCs for Atomic Heart expand the story with new areas, enemies and gameplay mechanics.
Annihilation Instinct (August 2023) continued the story after the main game, focusing on the crazy AI NORA, new locations and weapons.
Trapped in Limbo (February 2024) took P-3 into a surreal dimension to recover lost memories.
Under the Sea (January 2025) takes you back to the source of the disaster: Research Station 3826, immersing you in the mysterious Neptune Underwater Research Centre where you will face new challenges, dangers and creatures.

In addition to familiar locations that have changed dramatically, you can expect fresh gameplay in a completely new environment. The popular combat system remains, of course.
Whether you will recognise it immediately, however, is questionable. Locations from the original game, such as the flying city of Chelomey, have changed drastically.
It is now completely dominated by robots and almost unrecognisable.
New Skills, Weapons And Enemies
Under the Sea also features new weapons and abilities, which you can try out against previously unseen enemies.
These include the Thunderclap, a powerful hammer that deals electrical damage, and the equally powerful KM-4 Kuzmich Shotgun, which has a double barrel and adjustable shot distribution.
New abilities have also been added to your glove, allowing you to throw fireballs for area damage with Blaze and make a quick getaway or lure enemies with Whip.
You'll also face new enemies, including a dangerous Robo Girl and a slippery sea mutant called MOR-4Y.
According to the developers, the expansion offers around 5–6 hours of gameplay. The Atomic Pass also gives you access to the first two DLCs and upcoming content.
So don't miss out on Under the Sea and dive into the dystopian world of Atomic Heart.
With a Steam discount of -67% on the original, Gold and Premium versions, this first-person shooter is now even more affordable!
