Lies of P is arguably one of the best souls-likes ever made, rethinking the genre's formula with exciting world-building and polished combat mechanics.

The reimagining of the classic fairy tale 'Pinocchio' in a dark, dangerous world, creates a setting that many fans of the genre found to be a breath of fresh air.

Now, a job listing by Neowiz hints at some unknown details about Lies of P's sequel.

Lies of P's Sequel Might Be Open-World

Tech4Gamers recently spotted a job-listing posted by Neowiz, that makes it pretty clear that the new Lies of P game will move in another direction in terms of world design.

The job-listing is for a potential new field level designer at Neowiz.

In the description of what Neowiz expects from the new level designer, it is mentioned that the applicants have to have:

Extensive experience playing open-world games.

After the success of Elden Ring, it makes sense that more and more souls-like games are going down the open-world route as well.

Of course, this doesn't completely confirm that the Lies of P sequel will get a full on open world, but it does seem like it will take a step into that direction.

What do you think? Do you think Lies of P would be awesome in an open world?
