The story RPGs remake will be published worldwide in fall of next year.
After the Trails story RPG series celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, the very first entry of the franchise is being fully remade.
As announced by developer Nihon Falcom and publisher GungHo Online Entertainment, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, formerly The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st will launch in fall of next year for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam worldwide.

The highly acclaimed Trails series is an ensemble drama with very detailed world- and character-building that unfolds like a long-running TV drama over different titles and entries to the franchise.
Set in Liberl Kingdom, a small nation on the continent of Zemurai, the game tells the story of Estelle and Joshua who want to become Bracers, protecting civilians and maintain peace in the region – and also reveal the secret of their missing father. Throughout their journey in a world that highly relies on a new technology called “Orbal Energy” the two have to fight a variety of enemies and meet new friends while becoming the heroes they wanted to be.
An unforgettable journey in a new look
Liberl Kingdom, the games setting has been fully remade in 3D as well as all characters, including the protagonists, got refined.
The game allows you to switch between two kinds of battle modes called “Field Action” and “Command Battle”, while each character’s Arts and Crafts are on dynamic display to build your own combat strategy.
A variety of quests and tasks is awaiting you, while you are exploring the secrets of Liberl Kingdom, making the experience feel like a real journey through a country.
The remake of the first entry to the Trails series Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will launch worldwide in fall of 2025 and be released for PC via Steam, Switch and PlayStation 5.
