DreamHack India is back and bigger than ever for its 2024 edition, marking its fifth anniversary in the country. Set to run from November 15 to 17 at Hyderabad’s HITEX Exhibition Centre, this year’s DreamHack event is packed with activities, tournaments, and surprises just for esports fans and gamers across India.

This year marks DreamHack India’s fifth anniversary, and here is all that we know about DreamHack India 2024 tournaments, games, prize pool, and more.

At DreamHack India 2024, there’s a prize pool of over INR 45 lakh across multiple esports tournaments, attracting top players and teams.

1. Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS) 2024

  • Title: Call of Duty: Mobile (COD:M)
  • Prize Pool: INR 24 lakh
  • Number of teams: 6

2. OMEN Campus Quest Season 2

  • Title: VALORANT
  • Prize Pool: INR 5 lakh
  • Number of teams: 6

3. PAN FEST

  • Title: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI)
  • Prize Pool: INR 2.4 lakh
  • Format: 8 lobbies per day
  • Maps: Erangel and Miramar

4. KO Fight Night at DreamHack India 2024

  • Titles: Tekken 8, Super Mario Bros Ultimate, and Street Fighter VI
  • Prize Pool: INR 4.5 lakh
  • Format: Double Elimination Bracket system, 1v1 Matches

5. Chess Championship

  • Title: Chess
  • Prize Pool: INR 5 lakh
  • Format: Rapid and Blitz

6. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

  • Categories: Mobile, PC, and Console
  • Prize Pool: INR 4.4 lakh

7. Retro and Board Games

  • Categories: Table Top and Retro Zones
  • Prize Pool: INR 95,000

The Snapdragon Pro Series tournament for Call of Duty: Mobile is set to be one of the biggest, offering a huge INR 24 lakh prize for professional teams, with six top squads ready to battle it out.

For VALORANT fans, the OMEN Campus Quest Season 2 is bringing a prize pool of INR 5 lakh. The best campus teams will compete, with the top team getting INR 3 lakh and the third and fourth places also winning cash prizes.

There’s something for BGMI lovers too with the PAN FEST event, which will be open to everyone who registers early. It has a prize pool of INR 2.4 lakh and will be running daily with popular maps like Erangel and Miramar.

Fighting game fans get their turn with KO Fight Night, featuring games like Tekken 8, Super Mario Bros Ultimate, and Street Fighter VI. Tekken 8 has the largest prize of INR 1.6 lakh for the winner, with the tournament running on a double elimination system to keep things interesting.

And, for the chess fans out there, there’s a chess tournament featuring Rapid and Blitz formats with a INR 5 lakh prize pool. It’s a cool addition for those who love brainy games, with INR 3 lakh set for the Rapid format and INR 2 lakh for Blitz.

But DreamHack isn’t only about the competitive games. The BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) segment invites players to bring their gaming gear and jump into action. This area will have its own prize pool of INR 4.4 lakh, with games across PC, mobile, and console, like Rocket League, Brawlhalla, and other popular games.

There’s also a Retro and Board Games section for a blast from the past, featuring classics like Monopoly, Ludo, and UNO as well as retro video games on the PlayStation 1. There’s even a small prize pool of INR 95,000 here for those who want a taste of competitive retro gaming.

And it’s not just games and prizes! DreamHack India 2024 will have cosplay competitions, tech exhibitions, music concerts, and stand-up comedy to keep everyone entertained. Plus, fans will get a chance to meet popular streamers and content creators in special meet-and-greet sessions. To top it all off, there’s a Comic Con crossover this year, so there’s loads to do even beyond gaming.
