Kuro Games has just revealed the new characters coming to Wuthering Waves in the 1.4 update, and it looks like fans have a lot to be excited about. This update will bring a nice mix of both new and familiar faces, adding fresh gameplay dynamics and new content for players to enjoy.

So far, two characters have been confirmed for version 1.4: Camellya, a 5-star resonator, and Lumi, a 4-star resonator. Both are set to bring their own unique abilities and styles, and here is all that we know about Wuthering Waves 1.4 banners.

Wuthering Waves 1.4 Banner Characters

Camellya: The 5-Star Havoc Resonator

Camellya is the first character for WuWa 1.4 banner and is ready to add some serious punch to the game. Already familiar to players from the main story, she’s known for her “dangerous” charm and carefree attitude. As a 5-star Havoc resonator, Camellya wields a sword with a style that's all about giving big damage. Her skills revolve around a special mark mechanic that boosts her damage, making her perfect for teams that need consistent damage output.

Her official description says she is a laid-back character who lives by her own rules. She is expected to bring lots of Havoc damage and a flashy, energetic playstyle, and she is set to be a key character in the first phase of the 1.4 update, which is expected to launch in mid-November 2024.

Lumi: The Charming 4-Star Resonator

On the sweeter side of the update, the Wuthering Waves 1.4 banner will also introduce Lumi, a new 4-star resonator known for her endearing personality and unique features. Nicknamed “Dengdeng,” Lumi is a courier and navigator who travels through dense forests and vast wilderness, brightening everyone’s day with her sunny personality. Unlike Camellya, Lumi hasn't been seen in the game’s story yet, so she’s quite the mystery.

Lumi is rumored to use a Broadblade and might even have a pet summon mechanic, which could add an interesting twist to her combat style. With the potential ability to mix powerful melee attacks and extra damage from her pet’s abilities, Lumi could be a great addition to many team lineups. She is expected to debut alongside Camellya in the first phase of the WuWa 1.4 banner, also launching in mid-November 2024.

Jinhsi or Yinlin: Who Will Be the Second WuWa 1.4 Banner?

In the second phase of the 1.4 update for Wuthering Waves, players might see the return of either Jinhsi or Yinlin, two powerful 5-star resonators.

Jinhsi is a Spectro-element character known for her high damage output, thanks to her Broadblade and dual ultimate abilities. Her midair attack patterns make her one of the top DPS (damage per second) characters in the game. Jinhsi made quite an impact when she first appeared in version 1.1, so fans who missed out on her debut are eagerly hoping for her return in this update.

On the other hand, we have Yinlin, a 5-star Electro resonator who wields the Rectifier weapon. Yinlin is unique because of her hybrid playstyle, balancing strong damage output with the ability to boost Electro and Resonance Liberation attacks. Her special abilities, like Coordinated Attack, allow her to unleash screen-wide damage even when she's not actively on the field, keeping opponents constantly under pressure.

While it’s not yet confirmed which of these characters will be featured, the second phase is expected to launch three weeks after the first, around late November to early December 2024.

Wuthering Waves 1.4 Banner Release Date

Predicting the exact release date for the 1.4 update of Wuthering Waves is tricky since the length of each version update has been different. But if we go by the pattern of version 1.3 lasting around 44 to 48 days, then version 1.4 is likely to arrive sometime in the second or third week of November.

Overall, with a few months still left before the update drops, players have plenty of time to plan and prepare for the new content. Whether you’re saving your pulls for Camellya’s powerful offensive moves, Lumi’s unique mix of melee and support abilities, or hoping for a chance to grab Jinhsi or Yinlin if they make a return, there’s a lot of excitement in store.
