The spaceship repair simulation game Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop won’t be released in November as planned before. Publisher Kasedo Games explained that players will have to wait until December 5 for the full game to be released.

Working for Uncle Chop

The game will be a spaceship repair simulator in which you play fox-headed Wilbur who works on an asteroid-bound service station, repairing as many ships as possible to afford his rent payments, claimed by corporate overlord Uncle Chop.

While his customers find meaning in feeding sentient black holes, endlessly digging for “the Treasure”, worshipping deranged space gods or mentally enslaving donut shop workers, a normal life is everything Wilbur wishes for.

To have this normal live he has to use a range of tools, diagnostic devices and other stuff laying around the workshop to correct faults in the spaceships of his customers. With a huge variety of ships and modules but only so little time to fix every problem, you will find yourself in a lot of very tight, stressful but very fun situations.

Upgrade your workshop and the lore

Reading manuals over manuals is essential to learn more about the different types of space vehicles so you can use your hard-earned money – at least the few pennies Uncle Chop doesn’t take from you – to upgrade your tool kit and expand the workshop.

You will befriend a lot of weird but fun alien creatures, find hidden puzzles and secret lore while you engage in an overarching narrative with multiple endings.

If you are interested already and can’t wait for the release on December 5 for PlayStation 5, the Xbox series, Switch and the PC via Steam and the Epic Games store you can check out the currently available demo on Steam.
