Wuthering Waves 1.3 banner characters have been revealed, and Youhu and The Shorekeeper are the two new playable units coming in version 1.3.
Wuthering Waves, a super popular game, has quickly become a fan favorite, just like the game Genshin Impact did before it. Even though they share some similarities, Wuthering Waves has its own special charm, drawing in players with its fun gameplay and huge world to explore.
Now the game is all set to introduce new characters in its upcoming 1.3 update. This update, scheduled for September 26, 2024, brings two exciting banner characters: Youhu and The Shorekeeper. And here is all that we know about Wuthering Waves 1.3 banner characters.
Wuthering Waves 1.3 Banner Characters
Youhu
Youhu is a 4-star character. She’s great at finding and talking about old antiques. Kuro Games says she’s a “jubilant dynamo” who turns calm and sharp when she’s around treasures. She can see the history of items just by looking at them. She traces the past through their wrinkles and textures.
Youhu uses the Glacio element and is expected to be a support character, helping out in unique ways.
The Shorekeeper
The Shorekeeper is a 5-star character and the big star of the 1.3 update. She’s described as a mysterious divine being who has been around for ages. She’s got a strong will and wants to connect with players and the game world.
Like Youhu, she also uses the Glacio element, but she’s going to be a DPS unit, which means she’ll deal a lot of damage. She leads the Black Shores organization, which has been mentioned in the game before by characters like Aalto, and the Shorekeeper is supposed to be the most important member of this organization.
Fans are super excited about these new characters, especially The Shorekeeper. And although fans were hoping for the character Camellya, the introduction of Youhu and The Shorekeeper has still managed to capture their hearts.
Wuthering Waves 1.3 Banner Characters' Release Date
While there is no confirmed release date for Youhu and The Shorekeeper, the 1.3 update is expected to launch on September 26, 2024.
It is speculated that Youhu might be released in the first phase of the update, given that she was revealed first. The Shorekeeper, being the more prominent character, might be released in the second phase, possibly in October.
While we’re waiting for the 1.3 update, Wuthering Waves is still growing and getting better. The 1.2 update will drop on August 15, 2024, and will add new characters Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao. The game is also coming to PS5, and there’s already a demo out from a Chinese gaming convention. Plus, Kuro Games plans to add a new system to manage Waveplates, which will help players keep track of their in-game energy.
Even though the game’s revenue went down a bit in July 2024, the upcoming 1.2 update and the WuWa's PS5 launch should help boost earnings in August. Moreover, with Youhu and The Shorekeeper joining the game, there’s a lot for players to look forward to.
